On June 17, 2009, The Jackson Sun article announced that Nahon, Saharovich & Trotz, PLC litigator Glenn K. Vines, Jr. secures a jury award of $211,000 in the Circuit Court of Jackson, Tennessee for injured truck driver Jorge Ferreira, reduced by 10% for negligence on the defendant employee and reduced by 10% for negligence on Mr. Ferreira.
Inadequate safety regulations led to an employee of Delta Contracting, a local Jackson, TN company, injuring Mr. Ferreira with a chain saw.
The accident caused significant injuries, lacerating Mr. Ferreira’s leg and cutting the tendons his arm, thus incurring medical bills totaling $29,775.71 .Mr. Ferreira continues to suffer from the residual effects of his injuries. The law firm also handled the workers’ compensation case for the client.
According to the article in the Jackson Sun, Attorney Vines said, “he and Ferreira were happy with Friday’s court decision and safety measures Delta Contracting has put in place since the accident.”
